Cote D’ivoire

This West African state gained independence from France on August 7, 1960. Currently led by President Alassane Ouattara, Côte d’Ivoire has an estimated population of 25.2 million people spread across a total land area of 322,500 km². As of 2018, Côte d’Ivoire recorded a GDP of $93.6billion, with its top exports Cocoa Beans, Coconuts, Brazil Nuts, Cashews, and Refined Petroleum, sold to trading partners that include Netherlands, United States, Vietnam, Germany, and France. The Francophone country has its administrative capital in Yamoussoukro and uses the West African CFA Franc (XOF) as its official currency.
