Regional Diseases Surveillance System Enhancement (REDISSE)  

Currently being run in all 15 ECOWAS Member States and funded by the World Bank, the Regional Diseases Surveillance System Enhancement (REDISSE) was developed with the objectives strengthening national and regional cross-sectoral capacity for collaborative disease surveillance and epidemic preparedness in West Africa; and in the event of an eligible crisis or emergency, to provide immediate and effective response to said eligible crisis or emergency. In summary, the project seeks to strengthen surveillance systems for disease control.
